The master window switch was not getting power right. So I used another car's switch to prove the switch power lack. Result the 2nd switch worked. So the line is powered but now I'm thinking the switch is bad. Several days go by and I'm searching for replacements on Ebay and Amazon. My donor car www.bimmerfest.com.Power window and door lock failure. This one has me a bit stumped as I was sure it would be either a switch or fuse problem. Drivers side power window worked fine one minute then didnt the next (thank goodness it was up!). Found out the door lock button wasnt functioning either. Looked up issue and went to check the 30a fuse in interior fuse
1997 Ford F150, Power Windows Inop. This 1997 Ford F150 came in with three complaints. The power windows do not work. The wipers do not work and the interior lights do not work. Figuring that they were all related I decided to test the easiest system to access, the power windows. I pulled the driver’s side power window switch assembly up and1. if it's the passenger window see if it works from either switch, if not it could also be the motor itself. 2. test the motor if it does not operate from either switch. you want to see if you have 12v and ground ( remember the polarity switches depending if the swithc is in the up or down pos.)

It may be a connector between the body of the car and the car door. 2 people found this helpful.The metal contact from your switch needs to be cleaned off, alcohol and a small brush or cotton swab will do it. You'll need to take off the door panel, unhook and remove the window switch module. Carefully pry off the top of the switch module. Be careful with the top, there's nothing holding them switches in!.
